WHITE WATER QUIJOS RIVER
This is an action packed day trip and full of exciting white water rafting and beautiful sightseeing. The Quijos River is formed by the flows of the Papallacta and Cosanga rivers which receive flows from the Antizana volcano and its Páramo valleys.The Quijos River is a class IV – IV+ and that offers 13 miles of pure fun and plenty of non-stop white water action. You will start navigating about 1800mt and active descending for about 3 hours. As the tour proceeds, you will drop down into the breathtaking Ecuadorian Rain Forest, surrounded by a tropical climate and immense bird life. All our River Tours are scouted by a Safety Kayak
QUIJOS RIVER RAFTING SUMMARY
Early depart from Quito via Papallacta, after crossing the pass La Virgen at 4000mt, we will descend into Baeza village valley. We will put in about 1800mt. After a safety briefing we will face the class IV IV+ constant rapids scouted by a safety kayak, Quijos River give us an excellent white water adrenaline experience, becoming an objective for experienced rafters and kayakers. After lunching and packing we will drive back to Quito via Baeza village, If time allows, we may take a brake in Papallacta hot springs. .
